My approach to garden design begins with observation. I not only study the site, but also the élan of the people dwelling within it. 

I take into account your requirements of the site and its positive and negative attributes to create a functional yet beautiful space.

I never create anything based on what the neighbors will think. I always come back to “Will this make the people here happy?” 

If the answer is “Yes!”, then I know I have done my job.
